Director of Service

Job Description

Position Objective:         

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes that will result in "re-defining the standard" for customer services in our industry.  Ensure the achievement of performance goals, adherence to policies and procedures, and implementation of operational processes

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage a customer care group that helps drive overall business success and sales through delighted customers that seek the opportunity to work with Aagard
  • Ensure professional communication (written and verbal) is in place at all times
  • Translate business vision and strategy into operations tactics
  • Set strategies, goals, best practices and compliance improvement projects
  • Foster customer relationships
  • Develop polices, procedures, and process improvements

General Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to, support and promote the Aagard vision and culture statements
  • Demonstrate professional, respectful interaction with other team members
  • Accurately and professionally represent Aagard to customers and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum 4 year degree in Business, Sales or Marketing related field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Technical management and customer service experience within a manufacturing environment, packaging background preferred
  • Demonstrated direct interaction with customers
  • Project management exposure a plus
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers verbally and in writing, including presentation skills
  • Previous experience with CAD systems is a benefit
  • Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets/pivot tables for data analysis
  • Understanding of integrated systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Delighted customers that return to Aagard for future equipment purchases (customer retention)
  • Adherence to budget
